I read this when we offered "Teens Between Cultures" program in 2002. I was supposed to read only one chapter of it--menditory reading for everyone. However, after reading one chapter, I decided to read the whole book. It was worth it. Although it is nonfiction, it reads like a biography. Ms. Chang is a pretty good writer and a good storyteller. Haggard Library did not have Chinese version of it when I read it. Now we do: 鴻 : 三代中國女人的故事 by 張戎, 張樸譯.
