Host Marcia Alvar speaks with Elizabeth Loftus, Professor of Psychology at the University of Washington and a leading expert on memory. They discuss the malleability of memory, Professor Loftus' research experiments, and the influence of leading questions. They also discuss other means of memory distortion, the results of hypnosis, and how memory modification was used after the Tiananmen Square uprising. Professor Loftus then discusses some of the trials for which she has testified as an expert on witness memory.
