Abstract:

Along with knights, dragons, princesses, fairies, and other fanciful folk, the wizard has whipped up some special challenges that you just can't resist. Prove your grasp of logic to the master by determining how many anti-ogre potions he has to hand out, which disguises each of five squires is wearing, and what emblems adorn the shields of the finest knights in Camelot. Solve the case of the "robbing elves." Come up with a plan that Sir Good and Sir Pure can use to cross a river with all their supplies. (They have an ogre, a goose, and a bag of corn, but only one small rowboat that can't hold it all. And, they have to watch the goose carefully to make sure it doesn't eat all the corn!) Show you're mathematically inclined with number conundrums. Don't worry if you're having a little trouble coming up with the answers. Pages with special hints will help you figure it all out.
