提要：	This thesis analyzes the role of women in conflicts around the world and argues in favor of women's increased inclusion in matters of peace and development. It draws from diverse conflicts such as Northern Ireland and Rwanda to demonstrate women's particular ability to cross conflict lines, their commitment to collective processes, and their tendency to focus on issues relating to human security in addition to traditional security.
