Abstract:

The deepening interest in highway safety during the past few years has led to an ever-increasing emphasis on safety in the programs of SAE National Meetings. To make these developments more readily available to the many engineers who have entered this field recently, this book has been prepared. In it we have attempted to reproduce what appeared at the time to be the more significant contributions, with references to all other relevant papers, so the total of the recent literature is readily available.
