PUBLICATION HISTORY: E. Sanger and E. Curll published "The works of Monsieur Boileau ..." (2v.)--in 1712 (v. 2 dated 1711); Curll published a supplementary vol. [3], titled "Posthumous works of Monsieur Boileau ..." in 1713; Curll reissued the original sheets of these 3 vols., with cancel t-ps, as "Works ..." (v. 1-3) in 1714; the original sheets of v. 1-2 were again reissued with cancel t-ps as "Works ... 2d ed.," by W. Shropshire and Edw. Littleton in 1736 (the present work); the original sheets of Posthumous works were also independently issued with a cancel t-p, "2d ed.," by Shropshire & Littleton in 1736.
KU-S copy is wanting p.202-[236] in v.2. Bound in v.2, following pi2 (t-p of v.2)--is "Posthumous works of Monsieur Boileau ... London, W. Shropshire, 1736" ([24], 170, [2]p.), its t.p. out of place (see Pub. Hist. supra)
