Library set is a gift of the Estate of Maude Adams. Incomplete, lacking v. 3. Binding: red morocco, gold rolls on boards and spine; tooling on spine panels; direct lettering in gold; all edges gilt; turn-ins; marbled end-papers. A different copy of this work was borrowed by Richard Varick (trustee, mayor of N.Y.C.) on January 21st, 1792 (v. 2 only), returned on the 31st. Listed in library's 1791 catalogue, p. 85 as Centlivre's (mrs.) works (plays), 3 vols.
