Abstract:

"Much of the freshest, most stimulating fiction of our times is being done in the taboo-free field of science-fantasy ... the vistas which can be revealed only when the barriers of reality are leveled. ... The stories here are not exclusively pure science fiction as it was known in the past--the intention is to offer a wide variety of stories which will be of interest to the general reader as well as to the aficionados of science fiction. Here are tales ranging in time from the present to the far future, and in setting, from this world to outer space. The backgrounds are sometimes familiar and sometimes new. In these stories, there are aliens and robots and the people who live next door. There is man as he is, as he was, and as he may be--in space travel, mind travel and time travel"--Page [2-3] of jacket.
