Particpants in the panal discussion include the author of 'The death of common sense: how law is suffocating America' Philip K. Howard, president of the Illinois Trial Lawyer's Association Edward Murnane, lawyer and former president of the Illinois Trial Lawyer's association Tom Demetrio, and Illinois state representative Janet Schakowsky. Callaway gathers comments from people in the studio audience about a controversial reform bill being proposed in the Illinois legislature; audience participants include program director for the Coalition of Consumer Rights Gail Segal, Illinois state representative Tom Cross, Senator Aldo A. DiAngelis, mayor of Hanover Park, Illinois Sonia Crenshaw(?), and Midwest representative of the National Institute for Womanhood Kathy Salvi.
