First part of filming takes place in New York City (in black & white), second part of filming takes place in his home town of New Orleans (in color). Excerpts from songs include: "Black Coals" (Thelonius Monk), "Jungle Blues" (Jelly Roll Morton), "Blood on the Fields" (Wynton Marsalis), "Citi Movement" (Wynton Marsalis).
