Abstract:

Originally released theatrically in 1998.

On her way back to Kudremukh from Bangalore, Kamali is robbed of her hand bag and she loses her money and ticket. The abandoned handbag is discovered by Surya. He sends it to the address mentioned on the certificates in the bag. Kamali is so happy and thanks Surya in a letter. Then an exchange of letters begin and they fall in love. She sends him a handknit vest. Surya quits his job and starts driving an Autorikshaw (three wheeler) in Bangalore. Kamali decides that she can't wait and sets out to meet him there, but she has no clue about his whereabouts or looks. She ends up giving up her search and strats to return home. She hires his autorikshaw, not knowing that the driver is the one she seeks. When she gets to her train, Kamali accidentally sees the vest that she made. Finally she can meet her beloved.
