Abstract:

"Attempts to locate the root causes of this pervasive social corruption, while offering a solution. This solution is not based on politics, morality, laws, or any other 'establishment' notions of human affairs, but rather on a modern, non-superstitious based understanding of what we are and how we align with nature, to which we are a part. The work advocates a new social system which is updated to present day knowledge, highly influenced by the life-long work of Jacque Fresco and The Venus Project"--Http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/statement.htm.

Part I: Argues that society is manipulated into economic slavery through debt-based monetary policies, requiring individuals to submit for employment in order to pay off their debts.

Part II: An extended interview with author and activist John Perkins, author of "Confessions of an economic hit man". Perkins argues that the United States is a corporatocracy, in which the maximization of profits is first priority, regardless of any social or environmental cost.

Part III: An extended interview with futurist Jacque Fresco, founder of The Venus Project. Fresco explains his proposal for a "resource-based economy", which he claims would eliminate poverty while simultaneously being ecologically responsible.

Part IV: A call for activism and social change, urging viewers to boycott most banks, the news media, the military, most energy companies, and the current political structure.
