Includes material pertaining to his work as diplomatic correspondent in Berlin, Germany, prior to World War II. Also documents his service as an intelligence officer with the U.S. Office of Strategic Services during World War II, a special assistant with the Allied Forces Supreme Headquarters, and a foreign intelligence analyst with the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency.
