Joseph Dulles (ca.1754-1818), of Scottish lineage and son of William Dulles, immigrated from Ireland to Charlestown, South Carolina in 1779, married Sophia Heatly in 1785, and moved to Philadelphia in 1812 (he returned to South Carolina in 1818, and died there). Descendants lived in South Carolina, Pennsylvania and elsewhere. Includes ancestry of his wife to the early 1700s in South Carolina
