Der Tiarnia-Zyklus, eine Folge von drei Gedichtbänden, liegt hier erstmals komplett in deutscher Sprache vor. Auf der Insel Tjörn geschrieben, bilden die Texte das Spätwerk des postmodernen Klassikers der finnischen Poesie und kreisen um zwei Metaphern der griechischen Mythologie: Labyrinth und Tanz. Das Labyrinth beherbergt den Minotauros, halb Mensch, halb Stier, Sinnbild für Schreckensherrschaft und Tyrannei, "Herz und Symbol der Technokratie", "Symbol der Weltbank, die sich von Menschenherzen nährt" (Mia Berner). Der Tanz, mit dem die Rückkehr aus dem Labyrinth gefeiert wird, steht für Formen der Kommunikation, die zur Überwindung bestehender Hierarchien führen. Dieses Buch versammelt Texte von faszinierender Musikalität. Saarikoski gilt als der Allan Ginsberg Finnlands. Hier hat alles Platz, was sich sprechen läßt.
