Convoy to Auschwitz : women of the French resistance by Charlotte Delbo( Book )
28 editions published between 1965 and 2014 in 3 languages and held by 607 libraries worldwide
Now available in English for the first time, this haunting volume is Delbo's testament to those who formed the convoy to the hell that was Auschwitz. The prisoners came from all regions of France and represented a wide range of social backgrounds and political views. With a gripping simplicity and poignancy, Delbo recounts the unique life history of each woman, from her childhood to her involvement in the Resistance, from her arrest to her horrifying experience in the concentration camp. Collectively, these stories are a powerful and stirring reminder of the atrocities perpetrated by the Nazis

Auschwitz and after by Charlotte Delbo( Book )
45 editions published between 1970 and 2014 in 6 languages and held by 196 libraries worldwide
"In March 1942, French police arrested Charlotte Delbo and her husband, the resistance leader Georges Dudach, on a charge of distributing anti-German leaflets in Paris. The French turned them over the the Gestapo, who imprisoned them. Dudach was executed by firing squad in May; Delbo remained in prison until January 1943, when she was deported to Auschwitz and then to Ravensbrück, where she remained until the end of the war. This book--Delbo's profoundly moving vignettes, poems, and prose poems of life in the concentration camps and afterward--is a memoir of great literary value. It is a unique document by a female resistance leader, a non-Jew, and a remarkable writer who transforms the experience of the Holocaust into spare, austere, yet lyric prose."--Publisher description
