Poemas humanos = Human Poems by César Vallejo( Book )
86 editions published between 1959 and 2013 in 4 languages and held by 1,196 libraries worldwide

Tungsten : a novel by César Vallejo( Book )
43 editions published between 1931 and 2012 in Spanish and English and held by 621 libraries worldwide
The characters in this 1931 agitprop novel by the celebrated Peruvian poet Vallejo (who died in 1938) are all stereotypes. Mr. Taik, pipe-smoking manager of a U.S. mining company, drools arrogant paternalism. Fat, crafty Jose Marino, labor contractor and accomplice of the yanquis, willingly hands over his Indian girlfriend Graciela for a gang rape. Servando Huanca, the working-class hero, is pure Indian, humble yet noble. With its sloganeering and flimsy, schematic plot, Tungsten might be unreadable today, except that Vallejo, himself half-Indian, summoned up his lyrical powers and rage in documenting how the Quechuan Indians were swindled out of their farms and "conscripted" to slave in Andean mines and plantations for the gringos' profit. The deft translation by poet Mezey captures Vallejo's gritty portrayal of neocolonialism. --Publishers Weekly

Cuentos completos by César Vallejo( Book )
24 editions published between 1979 and 2009 in Spanish and held by 181 libraries worldwide

"In this volume, unpublished in Spain and now published for the first time by Editorial Eneida, Ceʹsar Vallejo is revealed to us as a dazzling essayist. Romanticism in Spanish Poetry is a splendid analysis that the author ... executed on that artistic trend, summarizing his reflections on the characteristics of Spanish romanticism"--Publisher's website
