Non commutative harmonic analysis and Lie groups : proceedings of the international conference held in Marseille Luminy, 21-26 June, 1982 by Jacques Carmona( Book )
67 editions published between 1977 and 1987 in 5 languages and held by 1,107 libraries worldwide
All the papers in this volume are research papers presenting new results. Most of the results concern semi-simple Lie groups and non-Riemannian symmetric spaces: unitarisation, discrete series characters, multiplicities, orbital integrals. Some, however, also apply to related fields such as Dirac operators and characters in the general case

The Orbit method in representation theory : proceedings of a conference held in Copenhagen, August to September 1988 by M Duflo( Book )
13 editions published in 1990 in English and French and held by 281 libraries worldwide
Ever since its introduction around 1960 by Kirillov, the orbit method has played a major role in representation theory of Lie groups and Lie algebras. This book contains the proceedings of a conference held from August 29 to September 2, 1988, at the University of Copenhagen, about "the orbit method in representation theory." It contains ten articles, most of which are original research papers, by well-known mathematicians in the field, and it reflects the fact that the orbit method plays an important role in the representation theory of semisimple Lie groups, solvable Lie groups, and even more general Lie groups, and also in the theory of enveloping algebras
Noncommutative harmonic analysis : in honor of Jacques Carmona, August 20, 1951 ( Book )
12 editions published in 2004 in English and held by 209 libraries worldwide
This volume is devoted to the theme of Noncommutative Harmonic Analysis and consists of articles in honor of Jacques Carmona, whose scientific interests range through all aspects of Lie group representations. The topics encompass the theory of representations of reductive Lie groups, and especially the determination of the unitary dual, the problem of geometric realizations of representations, harmonic analysis on reductive symmetric spaces, the study of automorphic forms, and results in harmonic analysis that apply to the Langlands program. General Lie groups are also discussed, particularly from the orbit method perspective, which has been a constant source of inspiration for both the theory of reductive Lie groups and for general Lie groups. Also covered is Kontsevich quantization, which has appeared in recent years as a powerful tool. Contributors: V. Baldoni-Silva; D. Barbasch; P. Bieliavsky; N. Bopp; A. Bouaziz; P. Delorme; P. Harinck; A. Hersant; M.S. Khalgui; A.W. Knapp; B. Kostant; J. Kuttler; M. Libine; J.D. Lorch; L.A. Mantini; S.D. Miller; J.D. Novak; M.-N. Panichi; M. Pevzner; W. Rossmann; H. Rubenthaler; W. Collected papers by Bertram Kostant( Book )
13 editions published in 2009 in English and held by 45 libraries worldwide
For more than five decades Bertram Kostant has been one of the major architects of modern Lie theory. Virtually all his papers are pioneering with deep consequences, many giving rise to whole new fields of activities. His interests span a tremendous range of Lie theory, from differential geometry to representation theory, abstract algebra, and mathematical physics. Some specific topics cover algebraic groups and invariant theory, the geometry of homogeneous spaces, representation theory, geometric quantization and symplectic geometry, Lie algebra cohomology, Hamiltonian mechanics, modular forms, Whittaker theory, Toda lattice, and much more. It is striking to note that Lie theory (and symmetry in general) now occupies an ever increasing larger role in mathematics than it did in the fifties. This is the first volume (1955-1966) of a five-volume set of Bertram Kostant's collected papers. A distinguished feature of this first volume is Kostant's commentaries and summaries of his papers in his own words

1 edition published in 1992 in French and held by 3 libraries worldwide
DONNONS-NOUS SUR UNE VARIETE COMPACTE COMPLEXE UN FIBRE EN DROITES HOLOMORPHE HERMITIEN POSITIF E MUNI D'UNE METRIQUE DONT LA COURBURE EST POSITIVE. J'ETABLIS, DANS UN TRAVAIL COMMUN AVEC J.-M. BISMUT, UNE FORMULE ASYMPTOTIQUE QUI DONNE LE LOGARITHME DE LA TORSION ANALYTIQUE DE RAY-SINGER DU COMPLEXE DE DOLBEAULT A COEFFICIENTS DANS LE FIBRE E TENSORISE UN GRAND NOMBRE DE FOIS. LA DEMONSTRATION REPOSE SUR LA METHODE DU NOYAU DE LA CHALEUR. LA FORMULE EST ENSUITE GENERALISEE AU CAS OU E EST UN FIBRE VECTORIEL DE RANG QUELCONQUE EN SUBSTITUANT AUX PUISSANCES TENSORIELLES DE E DES PUISSANCES SYMETRIQUES. DANS LA SECONDE PARTIE DE LA THESE JE DEFINIS LA CLASSE DE SEGRE EQUIVARIANTE D'UN FIBRE EN CONES MUNI DE L'ACTION D'UN GROUPE DE LIE COMPACT CONNEXE ET J'ETABLIS UNE FORMULE MULTIPLICATIVE POUR LES CLASSES DE SEGRE EQUIVARIANTES. SOIT U LA DEFORMATION QUANTIQUE DEFINIE PAR V.G. DRINFELD ET M. JIMBO DE L'ALGEBRE ENVELOPPANTE DU GROUPE SPECIAL LINEAIRE COMPLEXE. EN S'INSPIRANT D'UNE CONSTRUCTION DE A. BEILINSON, G. LUSZTIG ET R. MAC PHERSON, V. GINZBURG A CONSTRUIT UNE REPRESENTATION DE U DANS L'ESPACE DE COHOMOLOGIE DE LA VARIETE DES DRAPEAUX NON COMPLETS DU GROUPE SPECIAL LINEAIRE. DANS LA TROISIEME PARTIE DE LA THESE JE DONNE UNE EXPRESSION SIMPLE DE CETTE REPRESENTATION EN TERMES D'ACTION DE PERMUTATIONS SUR DES POLYNOMES HARMONIQUES

Formule de localisation en cohomologie équivariante by Paul-Emile Paradan( Book )
1 edition published in 1996 in French and held by 3 libraries worldwide
