1 edition published in 2004 in German and held by 225 libraries worldwide
"L'album d'Hannah Höch comprend 114 pages et se compose de 400 reproductions photographiques tirées de magazines. Travail singulier dans son oeuvre, il amène à se demander s'il servait de collection de matériaux ou de motifs pour des collages et des photomontages. Quels étaient les critères de sélection? L'album était-il considéré comme une oeuvre artistique indépendante, destinée à la publication ou le résultat d'une sorte de loisir, un journal visuel qui n'aurait jamais dû tomber aux mains du public

Dada Africa : dialogue with the other by Museum Rietberg( Book )
4 editions published in 2016 in English and held by 186 libraries worldwide
Apart from the notorious brouhaha it caused on the European art scene of the time, the Dada movement aimed also at bringing to life non-European forms of artistic expression. The Dadaists understood shape, material, sound, and movement as equally valid means of cultural manifestation. This aspect of one of the 20th century's most influential artistic movements has been largely ignored so far by scholars and connoisseurs alike. Zürich's Museum Rietberg is home to a vast collection of African art gathered by Han Coray, a Zürich-based patron of the arts and collector who also staged Dada shows in his gallery in Zürich in 1917. Works by Dada artists also constitute a key part of Berlinische Galerie's permanent collection. Published in conjunction with exhibitions at the two museums in spring and summer 2016, this new book for the first time closely examines the Dadaists' exploration of non-European art and culture. Richly illustrated essays shed light on the cultural background of artifacts from Africa, Asia, and Oceania from an ethnological perspective. Other contributions investigate how Dada is reflected in the post-colonial discourse and understood in the context of culture transfer. The book features work by Jean Arp, Hugo Ball, Johannes Baader, George Grosz, Raoul Hausmann, Erich Heckel, John Heartfield, Hannah Höch, Richard Huelsenbeck, Marcel Janco, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Rudolf Schlichter, Man Ray, Hans Richter, Sophie Taeuber-Arp, Tristan Tzara, as well as by unidentified artists from Africa, Oceania, and Asia.00Exhibition: Museum Rietberg, Zürich, Switzerland (18.03.-17.07.2016) / Berlinische Galerie, Berlin, Germany (05.08.-07.11.2016)
Vienna - Berlin : the art of two cities ( Book )
8 editions published in 2013 in English and held by 176 libraries worldwide
This volume is the first to be devoted exclusively to the artistic parallels, divergences and interdependencies between Vienna and Berlin from the early twentieth century and into the interwar period. On the one hand was Berlin, a sprawling, ambitious metropolis with an almost American image and no historically evolved city center. On the other was Vienna, the city of the operetta, with its Baroque character and grand history. The point of departure is formed by the relationships, differences and commonalities between the two Secession groups around 1900. Even during Expressionism, Viennese art was characterized by psychological empathy, while the Berlin counterparts of this generation of artists cultiated gestures of ectasy or aggression. World War I led to greater proximity between the two nations, and to active artistic exchanges between them, for example in relation to the rise of New Objectivity. Gaining in importance at the same time in Vienna was Kineticism, whose counterpart in Berlin was the Dada movement, which confronted contemporary social issues in a critical and subversive manner, thereby engendering a type of anti-culture. While the images and perceptions of the two cities may contrast dramatically, this publication documents their creative symbiosis

Max Beckmann and Berlin by Max Beckmann( Book )
8 editions published in 2015 in German and English and held by 163 libraries worldwide
Exhibition: Berlinische Galerie, Berlin, Germany (20.11.2015-15.02.2016)

11 editions published in 2014 in German and English and held by 157 libraries worldwide
"The American-born Dorothy Iannone occupies a distinct place as an artist in the second half of the twentieth century. Since the 1960s she has been seen as a pioneering spirit against censorship, and one who supports free love and autonomous female sexuality. This retrospective catalogue illustrates the intermediality and radical subjectivty of this unique artistic opus, and aims to highlight the innovative energy of Dorothy Iannone's art, revealing the art historical implications of her imagery. The catalogue contains around two hundred illustrations of her works as wll as numerous photographs from the artists' personal archive, which are published here for the first time."
