Nietzsche, the body and culture : philosophy as a philological genealogy by Eric Blondel( Book )
15 editions published between 1971 and 1998 in 3 languages and held by 445 libraries worldwide
"First published in France in 1987, this book provides a definitive account of how to read and interpret Nietzsche, given that it is the work of Nietzsche himself that has so fundamentally changed our understanding of what 'reading' and 'interpreting' mean. The book's title points to the two central questions raised by Nietzsche: how culture is formed and how culture forms us; and the extent to which we are more body than spirit."--Bloomsbury Publishing

Le problème moral by Eric Blondel( Book )
4 editions published between 2000 and 2014 in French and held by 85 libraries worldwide

Ecce homo : how one becomes what one is by Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche( Book )
2 editions published in 1992 in French and held by 45 libraries worldwide
In late 1888, only weeks before his final collapse into madness, Nietzsche (1844 1900) set out to compose his autobiography, and Ecce Homo remains one of the most intriguing yet bizarre examples of the genre ever written. In this extraordinary work Nietzsche traces his life, work and development as a philosopher, examines the heroes he has identified with, struggled against and then overcome Schopenhauer, Wagner, Socrates, Christ and predicts the cataclysmic impact of his forthcoming revelation of all values'. Both self-celebrating and self-mocking, penetrating and strange, Ecce Homo gives the final, definitive expression to Nietzsche's main beliefs and is in every way his last testament
Tastes of paradise : a social history of spices, stimulants, and intoxicants by Wolfgang Schivelbusch( Book )
2 editions published in 1991 in Undetermined and French and held by 35 libraries worldwide
The modern age to dovetail with the needs of the rising merchant class and the capitalism it spawned. How the hunger for spices mobilized the Occident's energies with an intensity matched only by today's greed for oil; how coffee became the drink of the bourgeois age as the beverage which, unlike alcohol, promotes clear thinking and hard work; how tobacco became coffee's ally in fine-tuning the fast-paced nervous sensibilities of the modern era--here is a rich human
Rousseau (1712-1778) by Eric Blondel( Book )

The case of Wagner. Nietzsche contra Wagner. The twilight of the idols. The antichrist by Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche( Book )
4 editions published in 2005 in French and held by 28 libraries worldwide
The Case Against Wagner was one Nietzsche's last books, and his wittiest. In Wagner's music, in his doctrine, in his whole concept of art, Nietzsche saw the confirmation, the promotion, even the encouragement, of that decadence and degeneration which is now rampant in Europe; and it is for this reason, although to the end of his life he still loved Wagner, the man and the friend, that we find him, on the very eve of his spiritual death, exhorting us to abjure Wagner the musician and the artist. Twilight of the idols, or, How to philosophize with a hammer by Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche( Book )

Twilight of the Idols. Nietzsche's own unabashed appraisal of the last work intended to serve as a short introduction to the whole of his philosophy, and the most synoptic of all his books, bristles with a register of vocabulary derived from physiology, pathology, symptomatalogy and medicine. This new translation is supplemented by an introduction and extensive notes, which provide close analysis of a highly condensed work
Perpetual peace, and other essays on politics, history, and morals by Immanuel Kant( Book )

"In this short essay, Kant completes his political theory and philosophy of history, considering the prospects for peace among nations and addressing questions that remain central to our thoughts about nationalism, war, and peace." "Ted Humphrey provides an eminently readable translation, along with a brief Introduction that sketches Kant's argument."--Jacket
