A thoughtful, clear consideration of the Christian idea of creation, placing this basic Christian doctrine inthe setting of recent insights from the physical sciences, metaphysical philosophy, and the study of my and symbol. Shows its relationship to urgent human needs. Has sought to reinterpret the idea of creation "so that it is not just an irrelevant dogma inherited from a prescientific and prephilosophical past, but a sumbol which points to the profoundest understanding of the dimensions, the tragedy and the potentialities of human life; a symbol essential not only to the Christian faith, but also to a full apprehension by any man of the meaning of human existence."

Sex and the adolescent by Maxine Davis( Book )
4 editions published between 1960 and 1967 in German and held by 17 libraries worldwide
"This book focuses on sex in adolescence and the problem of growing up. It is written with the realization that attitudes towards sexual conduct have been affected by the atmosphere of the times and that rules and ideas suited to past generations are no longer applicable today. In writing this book, the author talked to adolescents as well as parents, physicians, clergy, teachers, counselors, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals in the wide field of adolescence. The book covers such topics as the anatomy of sex, adolescent sexual and emotional development, sexual feelings and expressions, hetero- and homosexuality, pregnancy, and marriage. The book is designed for adolescents, and it is also for parents who feel the need for assistance in understanding some of the questions and problems that arise in young people's minds"--Create. The Rosicrucian enlightenment by Frances A Yates( Book )
1 edition published in 1975 in German and held by 8 libraries worldwide
"In the early seventeenth century two manifestos were published which proclaimed, in terms of magic, alchemy and the Cabala, the dawn of a new age of increased knowledge and power over nature. These anonymous documents (reproduced in the appendix to this work) were written on behalf of 'the Fraternity of the Rose Cross'. Ever since, this mysterious movement has been the subject of endless fascination, speculation and intrigue. In this book, Frances Yates reveals the truth about the 'Rosicrucian Enlightenment' and its impact on Europe's political and cultural history. She transforms, for instance, our understanding of the origins of modern science by placing in the context of an occult tradition key figures such as Descartes, Bacon, Kepler and Newton."--Google Books (Routledge new 2002 ed.)

(Quelle: Umschlag)
