Theriosynoecum wyomingense (Branson, 1935), a possible guide ostracode to the salt water mash member of the Morrison formation by I. G Sohn( Book )
3 editions published between 1963 and 1964 in English and held by 6 libraries worldwide
The ostracode species Theriosynoecum wyomingense (Branson, 1935) appears to be restricted to the Salt Wash Member of the Morrison Formation in the Colorado Plateau area and to equivalents of the Salt Wash Member in lithologically undifferentiated sedimentary rocks in Wyoming, South Dakota, and Montana. Associated charophytes tend to support this hypothesis

STUDY OF THE FUNDAMENTALS OF COMBUSTION ( file )
3 editions published between 1953 and 1954 in English and held by 3 libraries worldwide
The burning velocities of the CH4-O-N system were investigated for 6 mixtures having constant theoretical adiabatic flame temperatures of 2000 deg K at 1 atm and O to CH4 ratios from 0.78:1.) to 5.0:1.0. The data were obtained on flow nozzle burners which were adjusted to produce a flat flame above the nozzle opening. The velocity of the unburned gas through the nozzle was then the burning velocity of the gas mixture. The burning velocities found by this method were higher than those reported with the tube burner. This increase in velocity was apparently caused by a decrease in the quenching effect of the surrounding air. The composition of a series of CH4-O-N mixtures having theoretical adiabatic flame temperatures of 2250 deg K at 1 atm pressure are reported as well as well as the composition of several CH4-O-A mixtures having a theoretical adiabatic flame temperature of 2000 deg K 1 atm

Einstein on the beach by Philip Glass( Sound Recording )
2 editions published in 1985 in English and held by 2 libraries worldwide
Accompanying DVD contains a documentary offering insights into Einstein on the Beach, through interviews with creators composer Philip Glass and director/designer Robert Wilson, who explain some of their structural choices and the concepts behind the opera. The film features rehearsal and performance footage from the 1984 production of the opera at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. It offers a look at the creative processes of two of the most important figures in American contemporary music and theatre, and examines the evolution of the performing arts

Analytical and Experimental Study of Turbulent Methane-Fired Backmixed Combustion ( Book )
1 edition published in 1975 in English and held by 1 library worldwide
Numerical predictions of the backmixed flowfield of a methane-fired laboratory combustor are compared to experimental observations. The goal is to clarify the mechanisms responsible for pollutant formation in continuous backmixed combustion and to improve predictive methods. The numerical description adopts a simplified effective viscosity model and a two-step kinetic reaction scheme for the methane oxidation. A reaction mechanism to account for the production of nitric oxide is also considered. Laser Doppler velocimetry is used to exerimentally measure velocity profiles in the flowfield. Conventional gas sampling techniques are to measure species concentration profiles

Mechanisms of Exhaust Pollutants and Plume Formation in Continuous Combustion ( Book )
1 edition published in 1975 in English and held by 1 library worldwide
The investigation of exhaust pollutant and plume formation in continuous combustion is a combined analytical and experimental study of turbulent, backmixed combustion in gas turbines. Experiments are being conducted operating with premixed methane/air and propane/air reactants. Theoretically predicted profiles of the flow properties are being systematically compared with experimentally determined profiles. The report discusses the following research: The experimental facility has been modified and updated to accommodate the current study; limited emission and velocity data have been obtained; and the analytical phase has been directed to updating the turbulence model used in the original (PISTEP I) ORC numerical program and adapting a p-v, 3-dimensional program dubbed TEACH to the ORC system
