On the planet Cybertron, a war was waged between the Autobots and the Decepticons for control of the Allspark, a mystical talisman that would grant unlimited power to whoever possessed it. Le avventure si susseguono con continui capovolgimenti di fronte, eterne incertezze sulla scelta di diventare grandi, in una (classica) lotta tra bene e male dove nessun colpo, anche il più basso e scorretto viene risparmiato: Capitan Uncino, dopo aver rapito Campanellino e i tre fratellini Darling, fa avvelenare Peter riducendolo in fin di vita. Sarà proprio l'amore, rappresentato da un tenero bacio tra i due protagonisti, a far rinvigorire Peter, di nuovo in grado di volare grazie ai suoi pensieri felici, e a consentirgli di sconfiggere e ridicolizzare il vecchio Uncino, lasciandolo tra le grinfie del terribile coccodrillo. La nostalgia dei genitori convince infine i tre fratelli a fare ritorno a casa; l'invito per Peter Pan è quello di seguirli affrontando la crescita e la vita adulta, passi necessari per continuare a vivere il suo amore per Wendy. Le favole però non possono permettersi di perdere i propri eroi, e la conclusione non può che essere una sola: tutti i bambini devono diventare adulti tranne uno, Peter Pan
