Economic restructuring in East Asia and India : perspectives on policy reform by Pradeep Agrawal( Book )
10 editions published in 1995 in English and held by 303 libraries worldwide
This book provides a comparative picture of the restructuring experiences of five Asian economies: South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and India. In the case of Indonesia and Thailand, the focus is on short-run structural adjustment measures, and in the case of South Korea and Singapore, the emphasis is on longer term industrial, trade, labour and financial sector policies. The chapter on India views the country's economic development in the light of the above analysis. The political economy of the policy-making process is examined in each case
Policy regimes and industrial competitiveness : a comparative study of East Asia and India ( Book )
13 editions published in 2000 in English and held by 213 libraries worldwide
"This book looks at the economic performance of East Asia in a unified way. The focus is on the common forces, generated by each country's policies, that jointly produced such successful outcomes. The framework used allows us to identify the separate roles of macroeconomic and microeconomic factors, and to understand how they interacted with one another." "In order to gain a comparative perspective, the same framework is used to examine the somewhat less successful performance of the Indian economy. The basic lesson of the analysis is that it is generally difficult to categorize policies as 'good' or 'bad' per se. Rather, it is the overall institutional context in which policies are implemented that determine their success or failure."--BOOK JACKET

Antennas with Solid State Circuitry ( Book )
1 edition published in 1972 in English and held by 1 library worldwide
The work covers low profile TEM-line antennas, multimode slot antennas and adaptive arrays. Some design data are presented for 3-element coplanar TEM-line antennas and the use of such antennas in planar array is discussed. Some techniques for exciting multimode apertures are described and some very impressive results are presented for a 3-port T-bar slot. Processing circuitry for a 3-element adaptive array is developed and used at L-band for both a conventional array of three T-bar slots and the 3-port T-bar slot to adaptively null-out an undesired signal. In addition, some basic theory and computer simulated results are presented for a digital adaptive array using processing in the space and wave number domains rather tha in the conventional time domain.
