Organizational learning and competitive advantage by Amy C Edmondson( Book )
23 editions published between 1995 and 1998 in English and Undetermined and held by 353 libraries worldwide
[̀I}n this volume, contributors from the fields of both strategic management and organizational behaviour have been brought together to explore the relationship between organizational learning and competitive advantage. In their editorial introduction, Edmonson and Moingeon trace changes within the fields of strategy and organizational development that have encouraged a more integrative approach. On the strategy side, the emergence of the resource view of the firm" has drawn attention to the importance of firm-specific resources including knowledge and how it is acquired, as sources of c
Corporate and organizational identities : integrating strategy, marketing, communication, and organizational perspectives by Bertrand Moingeon( Book )
16 editions published between 2002 and 2003 in English and held by 257 libraries worldwide
This volume is devoted to an issue of increasing importance in management theory and practice - organizational identity. The concept of organizational identity has received attention in many disciplines such as strategic management, marketing, communication and public relations, and organization theory. In practice a number of consultancy firms have specialized in identity management, while a number of academic conferences with a special focus on identity has developed. As globalization of business and organizations of all kinds become the norm rather than the exception, issues of collective identities take on a strategic importance. There has been, however, very little integration among the various disciplines and practices resulting in conflicting definitions, and little cumulative research

Peut-on former les dirigeants ? : l'apport de la recherche by Bertrand Moingeon( Book )
3 editions published in 2003 in French and held by 15 libraries worldwide

CONTRIBUTION A UNE SOCIO-ECONOMIE DES ORGANISATIONS : L'EXEMPLE D'UN UNIVERS ASSOCIATIF by Bertrand Moingeon( Book )
6 editions published in 1991 in French and Undetermined and held by 5 libraries worldwide
THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC APPROACH THAT WE ARE PROPOSING IS OPPOSED TOP THAT ADOPTED BY SUPPORTERS OF THE THEORY OF RATIONAL ACTION. THIS APPROACH LEADS US TO DENOUNCE MODELS WHICH REPRESENT MAN AS AN ACTOR FREE FROM ALL ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CONDITIONING AS UNREALISTIC. WE BELIEVE THAT THE HOMO-OECONOMICUS MODEL IN WHICH MAN IS NOTING BUT A DISEMBODIED BEING REDUCED TO A MAXIMIZER OF UTILITY P@LACED UNDER CERTAIN CONSTRAINTS, CANNOT EXPLAIN REAL BEHAVIOUR. IN THIS DISSERTATION, WE REJECT DISCIPLINARY COMPARTMENTALIZATION AND HAVE ALSOP ATTEMPTED TO GO BEYOND THE DESCRIPTIVE STAGE FOUND IN MOST STUDIES ON ORGANIZATIONS. WE HAVE DEMONSTRATED THE USEFULLNESS OF COMBINING PIERRE BOURDIEU'S THEORY OF THE HABITUS AND THE FIELD WITH THE GRID OF ORGANIZATIONS DEVELOPED BY THE PROFESSORS IN THE "STRATEGY AND BUSINESS POLICY" DEPARTMENT OF THE FROUPE HEC. SUCH AN APPROACH, AS SHOWN IN THIS STUDY, DOES, IN FACT, ENABLE US TO GO BEYOND THE DESCRIPTIVE STAGE TO ARRIVE AT A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF HOW ORGANIZATIONS OPERATETHE GROUP OF ASSOCIATIONS STUDIED IS MADE UP OF SPORTS CLUBS. IN THESE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, THE AGENTS CAN BE BOTH CONSUMERS AND MEMBERS. THE SOCIOECONOMIC PRSPECTIVE WHICH WE HAVE ADOPTED LETS US NOT ONLY EXPLAIN HOW THESE ORGANIZATIONS OPERATE AS FIELDS, BUT ALSO LETS US EXPLAIN THESE "CONSUMER" CHOICES

From organizational learning to the learning organization by Yvelines) Groupe HEC (Jouy-en-Josas( Book )
2 editions published in 1997 in English and held by 5 libraries worldwide
This paper reviews theories of organizational learning and presents a framework with which to organize the literature. We argue that unit of analysis provides one critical distinction in the organizational learning literature and research objective provides another. The resulting two-by-two matrix contains four categories of research, which we have called: (1) residues (organizations as residues of past learning): (2) communities (organizations as collections of individuals who can learn and develop); (3) participation (organizational improvement gained through intelligent activity of individual members), and (4) accountability (organizational improvement gained through developing individuals' mental models). We also propose a distinction between the terms organizational learning and the learning organization. Our subsequent analysis identifies relationships between disparate parts of the literature and shows that these relationships point to individuals' tacit cognitions as a critical source of leverage for creating learning organizations. A brief discussion of the work of two of the most visible researchers in this field, Peter Senge and Chris Argyris, provides additional support for this type of change strategy
Confiance et recherche-intervention by Yvelines) Groupe HEC (Jouy-en-Josas( Book )
1 edition published in 1997 in French and held by 4 libraries worldwide

1 edition published in 2006 in French and held by 2 libraries worldwide
