The rehearsal consists of a complete run-through, with many interruptions and repetitions. Robbins gives corrections relating to the music and staging. At 16 min. into the second disc, there is a fifteen-minute break, during which Robbins works on stage with dancers. At other times Robbins speaks from off-camera. On the third disc, after the run-through, there is a brief rehearsal of a section from Robbins's ballet The four seasons: Christopher Wheeldon, James Fayette, Russell Kaiser and Alexander Ritter rehearse the male quartet from the Spring section.
