The Warwick pageant " ... is a pictorial record, exquisitely drawn in outline, of the principal events in the life of Richard Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick, between 1381 and 1439. It is supposed to have been executed some fifty years after the earl's death, for the satisfac- tion of his descendants ... On the whole the editors are inclined to attribute the work to John Rous, historiographer to the House of Warwick, who would naturally have easy access to all the necessary material. And that that material was not inconsiderable a study of the drawings themselves will abundantly prove"--Newspaper clipping reviewing this publication (attached to front lining paper). There is some lineage of descendants at the end of the book, showing that descendants married into the House of Plantagenet (one of the Royal houses of England). There are also other descendants and relatives listed (handdrawn on front lining papers, and a typewritten leaf pasted over title page). Some of these related families were part of the Irish peerage
