La aparición de esta edición motivó que la Real Academia Española preparara su magnífica edición, en cuatro volúmenes, impresa por Ibarra en 1780, que incluye el primer mapa de la ruta seguida por don Quijote en sus aventuras realizado por Tomás López, geógrafo del rey.  English:  This magnificent edition of Don Quixote is an example of the important revaluation of Cervantes' novel along the 18th century, when numerous studies and interpretations began to appear. Published in London in 1738 by Jacob and Richard Tonson, this was the first monumental edition of Don Quixote, splendidly printed, with beautiful typography and published in four luxury volumes. It was decorated with engravings almost entirely by Gerard van der Gucht and drawn by John Vanderbanck. The appearance of this edition prompted the Spanish Royal Academy prepare his magnificent edition, in four volumes, printed by Ibarra in 1780, which includes the first map of the route taken by Don Quixote in his adventures by Tomas Lopez, geographer of the king
