The accession consists of preliminary cruise reports generated by or collected by the U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service Southwest Fisheries Center. Most reports are mimeographed. The reports generally describe the vessel, cruise itinerary, purpose, results and list scientific personnel for each cruise. The accession includes one folder of cruise reports for flights dated 1961-1971. state and federal governments. The accounting records also document a number of other scientific projects conducted at Scripps.
