Photocopy transcript of a diary kept by George Main of a voyage on the "Selembria". The diary begins in Dulluter, Scotland, on 7 November 1887 when Main boarded a train for London where he caught the ship for Sydney. The journey ends in Sydney on 23 January 1888. The diary continues with Main's activities while staying in Sydney. The diary gives details as to the condition of the seas, the weather and the activities on board ship, such as the discovery of two stowaways. A photocopy of the original cover and first page are included.
