Wonder Woman Formicida, Skateboard whiz ( visu )
1 edition published in 2001 in English and held by 0 libraries worldwide
Wonder Woman seems to have met her match in "Formicida," when she goes up against a woman who has the proportionate strength of an ant (about ten times her body weight) and has developed the ability to communicate with, and take command of, ants. This results in her ordering the insects to destroy the laboratory and research of one Dr. Doug Radcliffe, whose revolutionary insect pesticide has turned out to be more toxic than he's been willing to acknowledge. The genetically altered Formicida, whose goal is purely ecological, ultimately must turn to Wonder Woman to help achieve her goals. "Skateboard Whiz" begins with Diana Prince heading out to visit friends in southern California and quickly finding herself crossing paths with corrupt businessman Evan Donelson. Donelson, it's revealed, is planning on opening a number of illegal gambling operations, a plan that is threatened by the photographic memory of Diana's young friend, Jamie O'Neill, who inadvertently stumbled upon their operation. Donelson puts the word out that Jamie is to be killed, and it's up to Wonder Woman to stop him. To do so, she dons a stylized skateboarding outfit and performs some spectacular moves that would even impress Olympic champions
