Dans la première, au grand effarement du capitaine Haddock, la diva Bianca Castafiore débarque à Moulinsart accompagnée de son habilleuse Irma et de son pianiste Igor Wagner. Bientôt, la presse et la télévision envahissent aussi les lieux, de même que d'étranges rôdeurs qui semblent vouloir s'intéresser davantage aux précieux bijoux de la chanteuse qu'au timbre de sa voix. Dans la seconde, c'est l'émoi à Moulinsart. La Castafiore, sa camériste, son pianiste et les Dupondt sont prisonniers du général Tapioca au San Theodoros en Amérique du Sud. Ce dernier accuse Tintin et Haddock d'aider le général Alcazar à le renverser. Haddock part s'expliquer avec le général Tapioca, mais Tintin pressent un piège. [SDM]
