Constantine a king's story ( visu )

"Profile of Constantine, the one-time king of Greece, who now lives in a relatively modest house in North London. After winning a gold medal in sailing at the 1960 Olympics, then marrying a beautiful Danish princess, Anna Maria, Constantine's future seemed assured. But in 1967, after only three years on the throne, he was deposed by a military coup. Shortly afterwards, he swore in the military government, provoking controversy with his apparent acquiescence. He did attempt to overthrow the colonels, but when this failed, he fled with his family to Rome, eventually settling in London. At no time did he speak out against the military junta. In 1974 the junta collapsed, but Constantine remained in exile. Intersperses present-day footage and interviews with historical material to provide a picture of the monarch both then and now."--edited from SBS website
