Issues in Educational Research encourages beginning researchers as well as more experienced academics and writers. Consequently approximately 50% of the articles are from part time or full time students doing Masters or PhD research. By submitting to Issues in Educational Research, beginning researchers are familiarising themselves with the demands of peer review, revision and rewriting. This is invaluable experience for young researchers, and supervisors are advised to encourage their postgraduate students to write and submit articles as an integral part of their research activities. IIER is an open access journal. For more details, see http://education.curtin.edu.au/iier/
