Berlin by Aleš Šteger( Book )

25 editions published between 2007 and 2015 in 9 languages and held by 99 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Odpusti by Aleš Šteger( Book )

13 editions published between 2014 and 2018 in 3 languages and held by 73 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"It's Carnival time 2012, and the Slovenian city of Maribor is European Capital of Culture. In an attempt to maximize profit, local politicians and showman peddle every possible art form. Amidst the hype, dramatist Adam Bely and Cuban-Austrian journalist Rosa Portero pursue a secret mission: to track down and overthrow the sinister octopus of 13 selected persons that seems to be in control. On the way, they encounter a variety of important citizens, all entangled in a web of corruption and lies. In the tradition of Bulgakov, Gogol and Kafka Ales Steger lets the forces of good and evil collide in this grandiose literary thriller. This is a debut novel filled with striking personae, haunting images and a grotesque plot. It proves, in the end, to be a journey into the heart of a European darkness." --Publisher description
Včasih je januar sredi poletja by Aleš Šteger( Book )

14 editions published between 1999 and 2014 in 5 languages and held by 66 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Potovanje v Peru. Slovenska popotnika.
Knjiga reči by Aleš Šteger( Book )

16 editions published between 2005 and 2017 in 6 languages and held by 57 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Protuberance by Aleš Šteger( Book )

10 editions published between 2002 and 2012 in 4 languages and held by 53 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Knjiga teles by Aleš Šteger( Book )

7 editions published between 2010 and 2012 in Slovenian and German and held by 49 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

1914 : goodbye to all that : writers on the conflict between life and art by Ali Smith( )

1 edition published in 2014 in English and held by 44 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

A wide-ranging collection of reflective essays, to mark the centenary of the conflict that changed the world. In this collection of essays, ten leading writers from different countries consider the conflicts that have informed their own literary lives. 1914-Goodbye to All That borrows its title from Robert Graves's ""bitter leave-taking of England"" in which he writes not only of the First World War but the questions it raised: how to live, how to live with each other, and how to write. Interpreting this title as broadly and ambiguously as Graves intended, these essays ma
Angels beneath the surface : a selection of contemporary Slovene fiction( Book )

2 editions published in 2008 in English and held by 38 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This book is the first collection of Slovene fiction to be published in English outside of Slovenia since 1994, offers a rich sampling of Slovene short stories. The thirteen tales here represent a wide array of voices and writing styles among the country's renownedâ€"and emergentâ€"writers. Written between 1990 and 2005, the selections in this book comprise a vivid snapshot of Slovene literary consciousness at the turn of the millennium. These authors mine their culture for often startling insights in stories that range from wicked variations on fairy tales to dour romances to skewerings of the bureaucratic state. -- Publisher details

Impressum--Langsames Licht : Gedichte by Ilma Rakuša( Book )

5 editions published between 2016 and 2017 in German and Undetermined and held by 31 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Usoda in značaj : spisi, proza, fragmenti by Walter Benjamin( Book )

3 editions published in 2016 in Slovenian and held by 26 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Pričujoči izbor iz raznolikega in vplivnega opusa nemškega misleca Walterja Benjamina razgrinja raznolikost Benjaminovega pisanja in prvič v slovenščini prinaša številna ključna besedila. Knjiga je razdeljena na tri dele. Prvi del podaja številne doslej neprevedene ali zgolj revijalno objavljene temeljne teoretske spise iz različnih obdobij Benjaminovega ustvarjanja. Drugi del združuje dve daljši literarni besedili - "Moskovski dnevnik" in "Berlinsko otroštvo okrog devetnajststo".
