The specialist : portrait of a modern criminal by Eyal Sivan( Visual )

1 edition published in 2002 in German and held by 166 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Lt. Colonel SS, Adolf Eichmann was responsible for the expulsion of Jews, Slovenians, and Gypsies from the Reich between 1938 and 1941, and later, their deportation from Europe to the death camps. Hiding in Argentina, he was captured by the Israeli secret service in 1960. His trial took place in Jerusalem the following year and was the first public event ever recorded on video. This stresses the contrast between monstrosity of the crime and the mediocrity of the man
Wannsee Conference : 11 million sentenced to death( Visual )

2 editions published between 1999 and 2003 in English and held by 96 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"On January 20, 1942, one of the most horrific conferences in history took place. The subject was the organization and co-ordination of the "final solution": the destruction of all eleven million European Jews. Fifteen highly-placed Nazis discussed the best strategy for genocide over a glass of expensive cognac. This documentary examines extensively the historical background to the conference, dealing with the preceding events methodically and largely chronologically -- from Hitler's assumption of power in 1933 through the developments that led to the Wannsee Conference and the destruction of more than six million Jews. In this documentary eminent Jewish and non-Jewish historians exchange views on the issues that have occupied many people for years: the why's and wherefores, the question of blame and the possibility of a recurrence."--Container
The trial of Adolf Eichmann( Visual )

1 edition published in 2000 in English and held by 33 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

In 1961, the televised trial of Nazi SS Lieutenant Colonel Adolf Eichmann by a Jerusalem court shocked the world. Eichmann, whose role in deporting the Jews of Europe to concentration camps had made him the target of a 15-year manhunt by Israeli agents, adopted the same defense as that of other Nazi's: he was just following orders. Actual trial footage, emotional recollections of trial witnesses and other key participants provide insight and contrasting perspectives of Eichmann's unsettling legacy. --Container

The Eichmann trial diary by Sergio I Minerbi( Book )

1 edition published in 2011 in Undetermined and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

"Fifty years ago in April, 1961, the trial of Adolf Eichmann opened in Jerusalem. At first most observers concentrated on the details of the amazing arrest of the former SS officer hiding in Argentina under an assumed name. The trial informed the world about the gigantic enterprise of extermination and murder carried out by Nazi Germany against the Jews that is now called the Holocaust. RAI--Italian State radio--asked a professor of history and political science who had emigrated from Italy to Palestine in 1947 to report to its listeners. His account came as the trial unfolded with vivid descriptions of the proceedings and how the Israeli public was reacting to the shocking revelations that a worldwide audience discovered for the first time. The author kept his notes as a daily chronicle so that the drama taking place in the courtroom was preserved and became this book. The Eichmann Trial Diary therefore offers a very different view from that of the philosopher Hannah Arendt writing for The New Yorker or the historians reconstructing the event decades later. This account stands out as the best kind of journalism and popular history. It is in the process of being translated into Hebrew for distribution into the Israeli educational system"--Provided by publisher

After World War II, the confusion of postwar Europe made finding Nazi war criminals difficult and many slipped through the authorities' fingers. One of the most prominent of the Nazi hierarchy was Germany's "Minister of Death, " Adolf Eichmann, who eluded capture for years. This documentary recounts how he was tracked down in Argentina and brought to justice, with commentary by Israeli agents who affected his capture and archival footage of the trial
