The rejuvenation of Aunt Mary(
Visual
)
1 edition published in 1914 in English and held by 23 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
Jack Denham, raised in the country by his wealthy aunt Mary, goes away to college in the city, where he gets into one scrape after another. He becomes engaged to a girl who frequents a cabaret where he spends his time. When Aunt Mary hears of his misadventures, she disinherits him. Jack turns to one of his friends for help, and falls in love with Betty, his friend's sister. Betty tries to effect a reconciliation between Mary and Jack by sending the aunt a telegram informing her that Jack is ill. When Mary arrives, Betty pretends to be the maid and they all pretend that the telegram was a ruse to get Mary to a party in her honor. They dress Mary up and take her out to the cabaret where Jack had gotten into trouble. There the old woman, now rejuvenated, discovers that the "fiancée" now has no designs on Jack and that he is free to marry Betty
