7 editions published in 2008 in English and held by 251 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"This book examines the use of national and international law to prosecute Nazi crimes, the centerpiece of twentieth-century state-sponsored genocide and mass murder. In its various essays, the contributors reconstruct the historical setting of the crimes committed under the aegis of the Nazi regime and examine why postwar adjudication took place only within limits, within the national and international judicial forums responsible for prosecuting perpetrators. The topics discussed include the impact of the Nazi justice system on postwar justice, postwar legal proceedings against those who committed war crimes and genocide, the work of the Nuremberg tribunal and Allied trials, and judicial investigations and prosecutions in East Germany, West Germany, and Austria

On the Holocaust; a critique of the treatment of the Holocaust in history textbooks accompanied by an annotated bibliography by Henry Friedlander( Book )

10 editions published between 1972 and 1978 in English and German and held by 105 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The booklet reviews the largely inadequate treatment of Nazi persecution of the Jews in history textbooks and presents an annotated list of other books which treat the Holocaust in depth. Studies of texts commonly used in high school, college freshman survey of Western civilization courses, and advanced university history courses show that discussion of the Holocaust is bland and superficial. Some texts, such as R. R. Palmer's survey of modern Europe, briefly mention the murder of Jews and identify the extermination camps, but they do not provide detailed discussion. Even more recently published paperback history "essay" books skim over the persecution and killing. The author concludes that this reticence is due to the fact that scholars have been unwilling to recognize and acknowledge the fact of genocide. For students who want to study the Holocaust on their own, the bibliography lists approximately 150 resources. These are categorized as (1) reference materials (bibliographies and journals), (2) studies of anti-Semitism and the Third Reich, (3) histories and interpretations of the catastrophe, (4) descriptions of ghettos and camps, (5) eyewitness accounts, and (6) world reactions.
