Abstract: "In this report we present numerical values for the analytic and approximate values of the singular integrals occurring in the boundary element solution of potential problems. The elements considered are the linear and the sub-parametric quadratic element. We show that if a standard Gauss quadrature rule is used then, as expected, the singular integrals exhibit errors whereas if a logarithmic quadrature rule is used the singular integrals are evaluated exactly."
