Secret embedded in magic cables : the story of a 101 year old Japanese communist leader who served Japan, KGB, and CIA by James Oda( Book )

"This book concerns with Sanzo Nosaka who was elected to the executive committee of the Comintern in 1935 and served as the general chairman of the Japanese Communist Party in the post war period. My contention has been for the last 45 years that he is in reality a clever espionage agent of imperial Japan. I have published many pamphlets in Japanese at my own expense to prove my points, but to no avail. However, in October 1991, staff members of Fuji Televison stationed in Moscow discovered documents from the KGB archives that showed Nosaka was a master spy operating a network of alleged Japanese spies using Korean aliases, five of whom were arrested because he was a secret undercover agent of the KGB at the same time. It is alleged by some that those executed were actually framed by Nosaka and that Nosaka's ultimate goal was to exterminate all Japanese communists stationed in Moscow. In September 1992, two journalists writing for Shukan Bunshun discovered from the Communist Party Archives three letters written by Nosaka falsely accusing Kenzo Yamamoto of being a spy. Kenzo Yamamoto, early advocate of trade unionism, was arrested and executed in 1938. The irony of this case is that Nosaka always asserted that Yamamoto was a great leader and a good comrade-in-arms. He even initiated a move to erect a monument on behalf of Yamamoto. The Communist Party of Japan was finally forced to expell the double-crossing Nosaka from the party. I am writing this book to ask the American public to hand down judgment on my long standing contention."--Back cover
