Ms. Roth's exhibit (displayed at the Mizel Museum of Judacia, Denver, Colorado) entitled "Yesterday, today and tomorrow" is a ethnographic, photographic exhibition of Ethiopian Jews. Ms. Altman's exhibit "Reclaiming the symbol: the art of memory" (from a slide show and radio interview) deconstructs the swastika symbol as used by the Nazis in WWII

Joan Roth's photographic work centers on the Jews of Ethiopia, especially Jewish women, and covers her travels in Ethiopia and other contries such as Yemen. Her Ethiopian Jewish exhibit was a photographic exhibit that accompanied her slide presentation. In an interview by Marilyn Lande, Ms. Roth disucsses what influenced her to become a photographer, as well as why she concentrated on Jewish content for her work
