Ein deutsches Requiem : op. 45 by Johannes Brahms( )

11 editions published between 1984 and 2004 in German and Undetermined and held by 571 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"We worked very hard to personalize the Gershwin material while staying true to the spirit of jazz. Our intentions were to reach inside to the core of each piece in search of the composer's original impulses, and to take those elements and recompose and reconstruct them in our own way."--Container

With James Levine's masterful conducting, Mozart's sublime score works its colorful magic in this upstairs/downstairs drama. Only all is not what it seems, and the battle lines keep shifting in the most unexpected ways. Frederica von Stade is Cherubino, the young page body who's in love with love and who keeps complicating everyone's best laid plans at exactly the wrong times
