Foolscrap by Telfer Stokes( Book )

3 editions published in 1973 in English and held by 5 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Tiré du site de la National Library of Australia: "The artists' books of Telfer Stokes, which he began making in the early seventies, are amazing examples of the possibilities of creating a visual language for the page. In Foolscrap (as in others of his book works), Stokes plays with basic elements of the book and the page - surface, distance, time, movement, and sequence - to create a dazzling combination of effects. Ultimately what he produces is a conceptual narrative, a kind of story about the act of looking."
Real fiction : an inquiry into the bookeresque by Telfer Stokes( Book )

3 editions published in 1987 in English and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Taking as a starting point the incogruous space and shadows made by the open pages of the book, the process of opening or 'entering' is explored as one would an unknown dwelling. This process of exploration develops into the construction of a room within the book and then leads from the core of this interior place outwards, as fusion between inside and outside. Interspersed, a constructive text hovers and casts shadows on the open pages as an acitve commentary and associative dialogue on the 'construction.'

Passage by Telfer Stokes( Book )

3 editions published in 1972 in English and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Tiré du site de la National Library of Australia: "The first book that became the first in a series of 5 paperbacks to investigate imagery in relation to the page and the book format using photography as a means. Among the sequences in this book the page becomes a slice of cut loaf which gets buttered and spread with jam, so that to open the page is to separate the jammy imprints."
