Everyone departs for the ball in disguise ... not before Alfred is mistaken for Eisenstein and dragged off to prison! The comic confusion of infidelity and "mistaken" identity is topped off by Dr. Falke's surprise, a little comedy he arranged called "The Bat's Revenge."
