A young gangster just out of prison for an assigned murder meets a mysterious girl at a high stakes gambling den. A thrill-seeker, she wants to gamble for bigger stakes. When he volunteers to perform the next retaliation murder for the gang he offers her the chance of watching the killing. Shinoda was interested in exploring ceremonial behaviour because 'the gang world is the only place where the Japanese ceremonial structure can be fully sustained'. He claims this film serves as the model for the yakuza (gangster) film which became popular in the sixties. In the hero's behaviour there is an undercurrent of sado-masochism which is brought out in his relationship with the woman who unconsciously becomes a destructive force, her restlessness releasing elemental forces

The viola in my life by Morton Feldman( Recording )

3 editions published between 2006 and 2008 and held by 235 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"The Viola in my life" er en av den innovative amerikanske komponisten Morton Feldmans viktigste verk.
