North Cascades Conservation Council records by North Cascades Conservation Council( )

in English and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Records include correspondence, minutes, publications, testimonies, pleadings, reports, and maps, largely relating to the NCCC's campaigns to establish the Glacier Peak Wilderness and the North Cascades National Park, and to oppose Seattle City Light's plans to raise Ross Dam and flood the Skagit River Valley. The collection also contains materials documenting the NCCC's concerns for wilderness areas and national parks beyond Washington State, but the focus is on the Pacific Northwest. Most records in the collection were donated by long-time NCCC president Patrick Goldsworthy; hence, the collection also contains Goldsworthy's personal papers that document his participation in other conservation groups, including the Mountaineers, the Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs, and the Sierra Club
