Article also reports that a shipment of books had arrived that had been printed from American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions' press in Beirut, Lebanon on the orders by Syrian missionary Reverend Daniel Bliss to be shipped to Liberia with additional questions in Arabic with an invitation to encourage further correspondence. The desire to open up "correspondence with some of the many millions of Mohammedan Blacks in Africa" after twenty or thirty years of effort [by T.D.] was reported close to achievement
