(Morandini)

Collage by Daniele Crespi, depicting a full-length frontal view of the Italian ballerina Cia Fornaroli in costume for her role in the opera Mârouf. A photograph of Fornaroli, from head to waist, forms the top of the image; the rest of her figure is depicted in a drawing. She is dressed in Orientalist style, in a scanty top, clinging skirt, numerous beaded ornaments, and bare feet, and holds her arms and hands in an angular position evoking ancient Egyptian figurative art. Also included in this collection are a photograph of the collage, and a print of the original photograph that was used in the collage, as well as a photographic head shot of Fornaroli in the same headdress
