"Hailed as one of the greatest war films ever made, this is a hallucinatory cinematic experience that does for World War II what Apocalypse Now did for the Vietnamese conflict. The film also includes some of the most frighteningly realistic battle scenes ever committed to celluloid, thanks to Klimov's insistence on using live ammunition during filming to ensure maximum authenticity." Abschied von Matjora( Visual )

8 editions published between 1983 and 2011 in German and held by 11 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

8 editions published between 1974 and 2005 in 3 languages and held by 10 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Although it is officially recorded as being made in 1981, this film was actually completed in 1975. It sat on the censor's desk for six years while the Soviet Union slowly liberalised. This is an intense and detailed look at 1916 and 1917 when Rasputin was causing decadent mayhem. The power of this movie lies in the way director Elem Klimov uses contemporary black and white footage to tell the story of Rasputin in pre-revolutionary Russia

Matëroĭ, an island with a village, is to be flooded. It is extremely painful to the villagers to leave their homes, especially for Darya, the oldest woman in the village
Les adieux à Matiora by Ė. G Klimov( Visual )

2 editions published in 2016 in Russian and Undetermined and held by 9 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Bienvenue, ou accès interdit aux personnes non autorisées by Ė. G Klimov( Visual )

2 editions published in 2016 in Russian and Undetermined and held by 6 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"Raspoutine, l'agonie" (Agoniya) : 1916. (Source : jaquette)
