Sullivan, appearing in the Piazza del Duomo in Spoleto, introduces Jerome Robbins' Ballets: U.S.A. Dancers Wilma Curley and Jay Norman perform Passage for two from N.Y. export, opus jazz, on stage with sets and costumes. Sullivan speaks with the festival's creator, Gian Carlo Menotti, and a scene from Donizetti's Duke of Alba is performed in the opera house.
